6. COMPETITION
a)The Evening League shall play on Thursdays except knockout fixtures that may be played on Mondays. All matches shall be played on the dates set out in the fixture list, failure to do so shall incur a fine of £10 per match. Matches may only be changed with the permission of the Management Committee and 7 days notice must be given. League matches interfered with by inclement weather are exempt from the fine.
b) Matches shall be played under the M.C.C. Rules for one day matches
with 6 ball Overs being used.
c) Neutral Umpires shall be used where possible and a fee of £10 per match paid.
d) Each Club shall provide their own ball to M.C.C. standard.
e) Results shall be in the hands of the League Secretary within 4 days of the match being played or rained off on the sheets provided. All members of the team shall be listed. Failure to send completed sheets shall incur a fine of £10 per sheet and no points shall be awarded to that team.
f) No Player shall play for more than one team in any Competition without the permission of the Management Committee. Teams must ensure that all members of the team arrive for the start of any match. Players arriving after the 11th Over will not be allowed to take part in any Snaith League or knockout match.
g) Any objection shall be in the hands of the Secretary within 7 days of a match taking place, with a deposit of £10, which may be refunded if the objection is agreed. All objections will be dealt with by the Management Committee, if any Member of that Committee is involved in such objection he shall not attend that Meeting.
7. AWARDS
a) The League shall provide a Trophy for each Competition and the winners will be provided with 12 minatures and trophies for Scorers and Umpires. There will be a Trophy for the best single performance in any match for batting and bowling by Senior and Junior Players. There will be a batting and bowling trophy for each Division. League averages to be with the Secretary by 1st September. Failure to submit League averages will incur a fine of £5 and late averages will not qualify for inclusion for trophies.
The Minimum Qualification for Awards will be:-
SENIOR BATTING: 150 RUNS and 5 COMPLETED INNINGS
JUNIOR BATTING: 100 RUNS
SENIOR BOWLING: 10 WICKETS
JUNIOR BOWLING: 7 WICKETS
8. FINES
In respect of each fine referred to in these rules, payment of the fine must be paid within 21 days of the date of posting by the League to the Club concerned, failing which the fine will be increased by the same amount, together with an additional penalty of £1 per day thereafter, until payment is made.
