5.      PLAYER QUALIFICATION

 

a)            All Clubs shall submit a Registration form to the Secretary by the Annual General Meeting to include the following information:-

                       

Name of the Club

Name and address of the Secretary

Telephone Number

Address of the Ground

           

A list of all Players must be sent to the Secretary by 14th April.

 

b)      All Players registered after 14th April will incur a registration fee of £1. No fee is payable for Junior Players, that is to say those players, the definition of which, is set out in rule 5 ( g ).

 

c)      Players must be registered at least 48 hours before being eligible to play and the £1 fee paid. No player may be registered after the halfway point of the season.

 

d)      A maximum of 3 Players from Senior Leagues may play in any one team unless he is a Junior Player, or is a Player for whom the League considers should be exempt from being classed as a Senior Player as  defined in rule [e] hereof.

 

e)      A Senior Player is deemed to be one having been selected to play in 50% or more games in a Senior League at that date. The Leagues considered to be Senior are the:-

 

York Senior League:  Premier, Division One and Division Two

Yorkshire Council: Division One

Any other League deemed by the Management Committee to be a Senior League.

 

f)        Any player who receives payment for playing Cricket at any Club and from any source shall not be allowed to take part in any Snaith League or Cup fixture.

 

g)      A Junior Player is under 18 on 1st May of the current season. All Junior Players must be registered by 14th April. In the case of a Club with more than one team in the League. A Junior Player may play for either team in League matches, but only one in Cup Competitions, providing he does not play more than 4 matches for either team. The minimum age of any player taking part in any League or Cup fixture is 12 years at 1^st May in that season

 

h)      If a team uses extra Senior Players or plays unregistered players they will be fined £10 per player and lose any points gained to their Opponents, UNLESS the Player[s] is/are under the age of 18 years at 1st May in  that season.
